Terms
A simple license.
Clear boundaries.
These terms govern the Syncphonia desktop app, trial, individual license, account, downloads, and optional connected services.
Effective July 12, 2026
Acceptance and account
These terms are a legal agreement between you and SyncSpire Ventures Inc., operating as Syncphonia. By starting a trial, purchasing a license, or using Syncphonia, you agree to them. You must provide an email address you control and keep access to that account secure. Passwordless verification codes are personal and should not be forwarded.
15-day trial
The full trial runs for 15 consecutive days beginning when the verified account first activates it. No card is required. One trial is available per person; creating additional accounts or manipulating a device to repeat the trial is not permitted.
One-time personal license
The displayed $9.99 USD price is a one-time charge for one individual Syncphonia license, before any tax that must be collected. It is not a subscription.
The license is personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and permits activation on up to 10 devices owned or controlled by the account holder. You may remove an old device before activating another. The license may not be resold, shared as a team license, rented, sublicensed, or used to operate a service bureau.
The purchase authorizes the version offered at purchase and compatible updates that Syncphonia makes available under the same license. It does not promise a particular future feature, platform, service, or release schedule.
A paid activation is checked on your device and ordinarily keeps editing available offline for up to 60 days after its latest successful online renewal. Syncphonia attempts that renewal only when it is due. If the window ends, connect briefly to renew the activation. Your files remain readable, and an already edited document can be saved before the app becomes read-only.
Your content and backups
You retain ownership of your documents. Syncphonia does not obtain rights to them merely because you open or edit them. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups and reviewing changes before overwriting, exporting, synchronizing, or accepting an automated suggestion.
Optional providers and tools
Cloud AI, external storage, Pandoc, local model engines, extensions, and other optional tools are provided by their respective operators and may have separate terms, costs, availability, or limitations. You choose whether to connect them. Do not send content you lack permission to process.
Acceptable use
You may not bypass license enforcement, interfere with the account or download service, distribute malicious copies, use the service to violate law or others' rights, or reverse engineer protected service components except where applicable law expressly permits it.
Availability and changes
Local documents remain ordinary files, but account verification, license activation, checkout, downloads, and third-party services may occasionally be unavailable. Syncphonia may make reasonable changes to protect security, compatibility, and legal compliance. Material term changes will be posted with an updated effective date.
Warranty and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Syncphonia is provided without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, remedies, warranties, or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded. Liability is limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Suspension and termination
Access to online account or licensing services may be suspended for fraud, abuse, security risk, or material violation of these terms. Termination does not transfer, erase, or take ownership of the Markdown files already stored on your devices.
Quebec law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Contact support@syncphonia.app first so we can try to resolve a concern informally. Subject to any consumer right to proceed elsewhere, disputes may be brought before the courts of Quebec in the judicial district of Montreal. Nothing in these terms overrides the Quebec Consumer Protection Act or another mandatory law.
Questions and refunds
Use the account page or email support@syncphonia.app for license and purchase help. Refund handling is described in the refund policy, and document and account handling is described in the privacy notice.
