Start with Light when you need a quick edit
Open a Markdown file, check its formatting, write a note, or make a PDF without installing an app. Light stores work on this device; it does not turn your documents into a cloud account.
When your browser grants writable folder access, edits go into the folder you chose. Otherwise, Light labels the imported private copy so you know the original folder is unchanged.
Choose desktop for a daily writing workflow
If you work across local folders, need Git awareness, or publish editable office documents and ebooks, the desktop app gives you the operating-system integration and local export tools. Your writing remains ordinary Markdown; the account handles licensing, not document storage.
